Found this one on the whiteboard from the McCartys.
This was excellent. Much harder than I expected.
Did the first round in 3:11 and then it was about 5 minutes per round after that.
The kettlebell swings were the closest thing to a “rest” but in the later rounds my grip was so smoked that even they became challenging. The 40lb cleans really forced me to use the hips and use good form on those.
I’m really coming to appreciate the effectiveness of farmer’s walks at testing and developing work capacity.
I thoroughly enjoyed this workout. Wow, I’ve grown to appreciate the farmer’s walks as well. It’s sheer work: no fancy form or know-how required. It’s a mental battle for me not to put the weights down. If I have to break, I break halfway, but only long enough to turn around, take a breath, and head back. The medicine ball cleans left my shoulders sore for two days. I found this triplet very manageable and ALL work. The med ball cleans are always more taxing than they sound on paper.
