I did this one with the hubby and Mr. Hyde to provide a little friendly competition. GREAT WOD! I used this workout to focus on developing a more effective sprint form. This was an ALL-OUT effort.
As a bonus, I also ADDED a 1-minute plank between each sprint (during the rest periods), allowing me to accomplish 10 minutes of planks throughout. That element REALLY smoked the core! I’m expecting muchas soreness today.
Perfect, Joel…soccer goal to soccer goal. I typically pace about 17-18 secs per 100m sprint; I can’t seem to break that (maybe because I don’t work on it often). 🙂
Thanks for trying it; we do it at least a couple times a year. Prepare to be sore tomorrow or the next day! I’m feeling it in my glutes, hamstrings, and abs.
I have another good soccer field WOD I’ll post next week. You’ll have to try that one, too!

Ran from soccer goal to soccer goal – close to 100m? Used 1.5-2 min rests
averaged 16.2 secs per 100m on the first 5,
the last 5 i didn’t have a stopwatch

ran 100m at an average of 18 sec across all ten sprints – a bit slower than I was hoping.
This will provide a great benchmark for your next effort. 18 seconds…not bad!
Fastest time was 14 seconds, slowest (against the wind) was 18 seconds
