I am ecstatic about this. I’ve always been afraid of “Mary”—never done it before.
I went in with a goal for 10 rounds: 6 in the first 10 minutes, 4 in the second.
I finished 7 rounds at about 11:00. Then tried to keep the gas on to the end.
I did use an upright bar for balance on the pistols.
HSPU were full head to mat, kipping. I’ve finally gotten those down.
Also, I realize why Carl Paoli advocates hook grip on the pull-ups.
I started to do that ~round 4 or 5, and it didn’t feel uncomfortable.
It puts your pinky in more contact with the bar, so hand is more stable, wrist and shoulder feel better.
This was 165 pull-ups and I didn’t get any tears.
