Give me HANG power cleans over power cleans from the floor any day. These guys really slow me down. When I’m forced to shrug from the hang position, I have much more power. Otherwise, there’s too much PULL and loss of momentum.
Nonetheless, at 75#, the deadlifts felt fabulous. ๐
Oh, I feel the complete opposite! From the ground I can lift twice as much as from a shrug. Hanging cleans are the worse! ๐ Sounds like we should have a clean-off!!

My first tendency is to MUSCLE everything. It’s my downfall… My second tendency is my lack of coordination.
My shrug is powerful…but only if I don’t destroy it with all that coming up from the floor stuff. Too complex. ๐
