Good work today, students! Way to go on those deadlifts, freshmen!
WOD: 1,620m @ 20lb medball. This was a good one.
My second time doing deadlifts. I topped my previous limit and lifted 135 pounds. The medicine ball lunges were really good lower body exercises. A great confidence building workout!
Keep it up slow and steady. Looking good Daniel!
I’m finally making some progress in my deadlift form. Looking forward to mastering it next time.
Killer workout today! Enjoyed seeing some improvement. Interested to see how the next benchmark goes….
WOD: 3 RFT:
6 deadlift
10 squats
Run 2 laps around purple stripe
I was able to finish this with a time of 5:35.
I am really excited to start doing more WODs. Understanding the basics is obviously important to cover, especially when it comes to having the right form, but I am anxious to start workouts that are a bit more challenging. Not to say that they haven’t been challenging so far, I am just looking forward to pushing my limits more with the new workouts we’re learning. It sounds like, from what Mr. Hilliker told us in class, I’ll have that opportunity during the next WOD.
WOD: 3 RFT:
6 deadlift (115/75)
10 squats
Run 2 laps around purple stripe
I completed this in 6:19.
I think the running is what killed me this time especially after practicing lunges at the beginning of class. PE is one of the classes I look forward to the most. During class it’s very challenging and tiring but it makes me feel great the rest of the time!
I completed the WOD in 5:45. The thing that challenged me the most was the deadlifting. I am still trying to concentrate on having correct form but overall, I really liked this workout! I also really loved the lunge walking with medicine balls. Looking forward to our benchmark workout next week!
WOD: 3 RFT:
6 deadlift (115/75)
10 squats
Run 2 laps around purple stripe
I did this in 6:01.
It is hard when you are doing these, but when you have finished it feels amazing.
Deadlifts plus squats were excellent combinations of exercise. The medicine ball lunge was tough because as I lift the medicine ball above my head, my arm is not long enough to raise it. But overall the workout is outstanding.
I finished in pretty good time (5:25). What a great workout. Still sore from it. Monday’s workout is going to be intense!
Getting the hang of deadlifts. I feel like my shoulders can take on anything. Great workout.
I finished the WOD in 5 min and 28 secs. This was a really nice workout!
This workout was great! I still need work on my dead-lifting because that is what took the longest in my time! Monday will be…awesome haha
Enjoyed the lower body workout today…it is always nice to have workouts that just work on form, too. I had a time of 4:32…looking forward to improvement.
Great job, guys!
I kind of felt like jello afterwards, but that’s okay. Now that it is a few days later I feel much better and ready to take on more. Also I don’t exactly remember my time.
Sophomore workout: Max distance was 1,000 m after finishing the rest of the movements. Tired but happy afterward–minimal asthmatic issues! Encouraging.
Sophs WOD:
20lb medball; 5 minutes leftover for rowing (decided to row instead of run)
Loved the workout, but can’t remember my time. The hardest thing was deadlifts. The weight wasn’t too heavy at all, but it was just hard to do them fast and maintain good form! Just have to work on it more I guess!
Finished in 4:32…I enjoy “for time” workouts because they really force you to push yourself.
