Hey folks!
From now on, when you do a particular WOD, click “I did this!” next to the check mark at the bottom of the post. You don’t even have to sign in to do so.
If you do it, click it (only once, please!)—even if you don’t feel like going on and posting your time. Then we can see which WODs are being done the most!

Hi Mr. H,
I would like to first say.. Congrats on the website! I’m so excited to be “included” in what everyone is doing at HQ.
I was curious if there was some way to help persons who are at home, have little children, and can’t get to a gym, crossfit gym, or have minimal equipment at home.
I know that technically to get healthier, and stronger you need to be lifiting weights, and working on resitance. Can you in anyway cater some workouts using no weights.
I know that there are quite a few of us around the country/world, who would love to stay true to crossfit, but just don’t have bumper plates ($500+) and a GHD sitting in their livingroom. The nearest Crossfit gym is 30min away at the cost is just over $200 a month.
If you could help at all… please do.
Much appreciated.
Ruth, in addition to Mr. H’s help, I think I’ve got some of those types of WODs available at my disposal, as I used a number of bodyweight exercises in the latter months of pregnancy and postpartum. I think there may even be several websites dedicated to that sort of thing…
This may get you started. One of my friends from CrossfitOKC used to teach a women’s class using mostly equipment-free exercises… http://home-work-out.blogspot.com/
Enjoy!

Ruth,
Just a note:
Laura, with the site I linked above, is Crossfit I certified and has years of CF experience, even making it to the Games this year in the Senior Division. I think you’ll find her site helpful…
Thanks so much Christe,
I tell you it’s sometimes hard to get motovated with the little ones here at home. Push through I just tell myself. Luke also sent me a link 2 at home workouts.. 31 days of them.. Looking forward to feeling strong again. I did 65 lbs push presses yesterday without rubber plates. talk about having to control my movements, i didn’t want to put a hole through the floor. Next investment is a rower.
Keep plugging, Ruth. Your kiddos will thank you for all the energy it will give you!
Hey Ruth,
I just thought I would give you a site you may find helpful:
http://crossfitpc.com/wp-content/uploads/pdfs/CrossFitBodyweightWorkoutResourcev2.0.pdf
It has a list of workouts that require no, little, or moderate equipment. Since Crossfit is all about constant variance it is sometimes nice to spice it up with some different workouts. Hope all is going well, and that this helps in some form or fashion. Keep on pluggin away at it 🙂
thanks Laskey,
a nice sunny day finally here in BC. Time to get out the old tractor tire and the sledge hammer.
The only truly hard thing I find is the running. Durning the day I can’t leave my kids alone in the house, they are just too young yet to do that. I may substitute for jumping the rope 🙂 just extra fast.
Thanks again for the link. I’ll print it off and post it on my wall.
