Tonight I did deadlifts: 4-4-4-4
I worked on my form based on Kelly Starrett’s Supple Leopard book.
It resulted in a drastically different lift than what I’ve been doing. Wow.
I plan to do the Wendler cycle a time or two this summer.
Tonight I did: 225-295-320-335(f)
I actually videotaped myself to watch my form. I felt it giving away just a little on the 335 so I stopped. In the past I would have gone for it, but I’m trying to be disciplined here.
Later on I did this:
HIGH-INTENSITY CIRCUIT TRAINING USING BODY WEIGHT:
Maximum Results With Minimal Investment http://journals.lww.com/acsm-healthfitness/Fulltext/2013/05000/HIGH_INTENSITY_CIRCUIT_TRAINING_USING_BODY_WEIGHT_.5.aspx
From the American College of Sports Medicine.
They propose a little 8-minute workout, with 30 seconds of work and 10 seconds of rest for 12 rounds.
I tell you, this has absolutely nothing on CrossFit.
I don’t think I could have done this more “high intensity” than I did, and it was just nothing.
This morning I went through K Starr’s back squatting instruction.
Back squat: 4-4-4-4
135-185-205-215
This felt really good.
Not nearly as different from what I was doing before as the deadlifts were.
10:28 w/ 135lb deadlifts
